Is George Soros REALLY the best of the 1 per cent??

Wow. Just wow...

Guardian editorial - Soros is our kind of diabolical, neoliberal, national bank breaking, serial-political meddling, global oligarch. The kind of oligarch that we would like to see rule the world from behind the curtain
.
Speaks volumes about what has happened to The Guardian🤢

Many billionaires try to influence the politics of countries that aren’t their own. Most do so by stealth but George Soros is open – and usually right

BREXIT: Soros and Others Guilty of Foreign Meddling, Not Russia

While certain voices continue droning on about Russian meddling, interference and collusion meant to affect everything from the US presidential election to Britain’s EU referendum, actual meddling in British affairs is being carried out openly and without shame.

Globalist billionaire George Soros, who is known among other things for his attack on the British pound in 1992, has sunk £400K into ‘Best for Britain’, a British pro-EU campaign seeking to reverse the Brexit decision with a second referendum on the country’s membership in the EU.

Best for Britain was started by Gina Miller, who previously sued the British government to give Parliament a final say over the outcome of the June 2016 referendum. Now, in addition to seeking a second referendum, Best for Britain is also lobbying MPs to vote against whatever Brexit deal Theresa May’s government comes up with. These aspects of the British democratic process are apparently too important to be left to the British people, but Best for Britain is more than happy to have the help of foreign individuals such as George Soros.

Writing in The Independent, the Best for Britain’s CEO Eloise Todd said:
We are proud of the support we have received from funders over the last months, including George Soros, which has allowed us to build a team following the election campaign.”

In the Huffington Post, Todd writes:
The money that George Soros and thousands of small donors have donated, and continue to donate is making a massive difference. That cash goes straight to frontline campaigning.”

In the Mail on Sunday, Soros defended his donation against accusations that it undermined democracy. However, soon after professing to be a passionate believer in open societies with elected leaders, as opposed to closed societies “in which rulers exploit the people under their control,” Soros then called the 2016 referendum a “fatal error”, negating the fact that 17 million people in Britain had their say and won the vote to leave the EU.

In addition to Best for Britain, the pro-EU, anti-Brexit ‘remainers’ now also have a new political party supporting their cause in the Renew party. As recently detailed

in an article posted on Euronews, the Renew party’s platform bears many similarities to France’s La République En Marche!, the party which was founded in 2016 by French President Emmanuel Macron and which now holds a majority in France’s National Assembly.

Indeed, at least one of the MPs for En Marche!, the majority whip Amelie de Montchalin, explicitly supports Renew, and as seen in the video below encourages people in the UK to join its ranks. This could be seen as another clear case of a foreign attempt to influence the British democratic process, but the most vocal allegations being aired publicly are directed elsewhere.

Compare this to accusations that Russia meddled in Britain’s affairs by using Facebook advertising during the campaigning ahead of the UK’s EU referendum in June 2016. In response to an investigation by the Electoral Commission looking into those allegations, Facebook found that just 73p ($0.97) had been spent by the allegedly Russia-connected ‘Internet Research Agency’ on such ads.

In short, while certain voices are making a lot of noise imagining Russian meddling in British or American affairs, no evidence is forthcoming to support those charges. In contrast, other foreign sources of finance and influence such as George Soros and En Marche! are unashamedly taking sides in a British decision, doing so openly and with pride

ProfessorClaims Soros ‘Missionaries’ Bragged About Toppling Governments inEurope, Africa, and the Middle East

Author and sociologist Frank Furedi claims globalist activists working for billionaire financier George Soros bragged about toppling governments at a private lunch.

A former professor of sociology at the University of Kent in Canterbury, Furedi recounted his experience with the globalist’s “missionaries” in an article for the Telegraph newspaper, having been prompted by the revelations about his efforts to bring down the British government and trigger another EU referendum.

Soros believes that if the people voted the wrong way, he is entitled to thwart decisions made by them,” Furedi wrote.

Soros does not believe in the legitimacy of borders nor in the authority of national electorates. Consequently, he feels entitled to influence and if possible direct the political destiny of societies all over the world.”….
